Where I Began
Where I Began
Life's roads
Can be difficult at best
Seems around each bend
Is a new life's test
I don't ask much
Just honesty and truth
But today alone
Is my true proof
There are so many trails
From which to choose
Some I may win
Others I may lose
Being on the homestretch
On my life's journey
All I have left
Is collected memory
Decisions made
Some regretted
But regardless it's mine
That has been vetted
No hand to hold
No heart to touch
No love to share
I regret so much
Even with doing
All I can
I always end up
Back where I began

ღ God asked me
How long I planned on keeping you in my life.
I smiled and said...
How do I choose between always and forever...
But then I have found that's really not up to me... ღ
