The  Early Flood

The outside was dark when the people awaken
They were quite alarmed that it had happened
Having accepted that this was a period of drought
The fields were bare as the crops did not sprout

The flashing lighting was do blindingly bright
Many did not take this with any delight
Because there was so much dryness around
One spark and the place was an inferno bound

The thunder made such loud and frightful sound
Those sound waves cause vibration in the ground
And the children just scream at the sound of each clap
Feeling safe when the bury their head in their mother's lap

And sea raging like the water in a boiling pot
They were so scared the way it got
Roaring, growling such fury as it hit the shore
To many it seems as though it was at their doors

Across the water was a heavy sheet of white
Hurrying across the sea, propelled by the winds flight
There was such an intensity, deep density
A sight that did not in any seem too comfortably

How those drop fell very heavily on the roofs tops
Those leaky tops allow the water to drop
After the earth reach that point of saturation
Then this was the start of lots of problems

The nearby river overflowed its banks
Then the water overwhelmed all those storage tanks
Quickly there was such a torrent in the streets
And no dare to wade, because there would not know where to put the feet

But the rain was merciless and kept pouring
And the situation there kept worsening
Many people just watch in disbelief as their possessions
Were flowing in the water on the way to the ocean

It was so hard to find any place of refuge
From as they said a out of season deluge
Because it seem to many an occurrence that was strange
And this was apportioned to that of climate change
