Be strengthened by the grace,
That is in Jesus Christ;
And willing to embrace,
If not earthly enticed.
What you have heard from me,
Through many witnesses;
Entrusted as to see,
What it encompasses.
Commit to teach others,
Sharing the suffering;
A soldier to brothers,
How Christ is buffering.
No man gets entangled,
In civilian pursuits;
Neither to be strangled,
In the civil disputes.
Aim to please only One,
Chose you as a soldier;
Honor what He has done,
And is your avenger.
An athlete is not crowned,
Till he follows the rules;
Lawfully is found,
Winner over the fools.
Hard working farmers ought,
Have first shares of the yield;
First partaker has got,
What he picks from the field.
Consider what I say,
Understanding all things;
To honor and obey,
For the goodness Christ brings.
