In And In Between The Silence  6/21/2022

was ever the world silent
free from the violence
called noise

sweeter the music the night makes
sweeter the darkness that surrounds
lost in the black
is where I'd rather be found

free from the violence
called noise

I relish the rise and fall of my breath
I relish the wind and how it seems to speak
to mostly me
I relish the breeze as it creeps down my neck
and caresses my knees with no hands

I like the person I am
in  and in between
the silence.
