Cost of Living
As a child talking to those old gentleman
They would always highlight this problem
When they told me the cost of an item
It would be amaze because that was what I was now holding
To my little mind how could this ever be
Because that penny, I could now get easily
Then they told me about that era and today
I would not get that penny so easy not in any way
So that talk about the escalating cost of living
Is something no man can be successful at handling
No matter how politicians use it as a tool
Pulling the wool over our eyes,making us look like fools
For instance when there is that increase as an adjustment
The cost of living makes another advancement
Just showing that everything around
Makes that correction so to maintain equilibrium
In most countries there is that complaining
About the way and rate at which the price of gas is climbing
When efforts are being made to develop alternatives
The level of support and responses seem so negative
But why complain and to the point of being miserable
Shorter distances walk or get a bicycle
Whose fault it that you have a guzzler
Make adjustments this will make life better
Remember we too played a part in the situation
I know many get oblivious to their participation
Because we sometimes give into certain demands
And also let a form of vanity hold our hands
