Poetic Verses
War
Can anyone tell what waging a war prove
What joy is there for the one who win or lose
We have seen how the use of weapons of mass destruction
Cause a country's invasion and the elimination of a person
Certainly the memory recalls that power of that energy call nuclear
Has now after its use is something to fear
As it was incorporated into a bomb
And two places in a country it caused such destruction
Now many years after this has happened
There are still some effects on the population
Because some are still from the fallout some ill effects
As the radiation much harm it can inflict
Today weapons have been upgraded to the point of sophistication
And indeed capable of lots more destruction
It is heart breaking to see a place once so beautiful
Has been quickly converted to a pile of rubble
This action seem so cruel and of course so heartless
Killing civilian in the process so defenceless
Then among the too are those women and children
Pray tell which part of such a person is human
This invasion there was that though that the people would capitulate
And to them his term he could happily dictate
But this was met but such a high level of resistance
His pride made him continue in the name of vengeance
There is no joy when a person has to flee
And by in another's country labeled a refugee
Not made to feel comfortable and may be in subjection
To harsh conditions and of course exploitation
Now that country may seem so deserted
Because of the bombardment to which it was subjected
This will bring tears, knowing that it will be a long time into the future
It will take to repair the damage to the infrastructure
