Be Considerate
There is always nostalgia going into ones old village
Look at the way it changed by development passage
Lot of those places that was loved dearly
Are now to be stored away in the vaults of the memory
One must applaud the wisdom of that older generation
Who from slavery thought about the children
Acquire lands to be left as form of legacy
To be handed down through the chain of family
It is quite noted they lived in an era of agriculture
But those green field presented an aura of splendor
That was always in my mind an unforgettable picture
Now to this gem is lost to the descendants forever
But where is that passage I took to the beach
It through there never again will I reach
Now looking at it the only thing was there to greet
That the entire area was now a mass of concrete
This state almost brought me to tears
These changes have now taken place in just a few years
Why did they not imposed some type of restrictions
And designate areas to be given heritage protection
I have no objection to any form of development
This can provide much needed and welcome employment
Exhibit control and consideration in the destruction
And be ready to preserve and in cases restoration
