Preserved by my God,
In Him I put my trust;
I honor and laud,
He is fair and just.
For He is my Lord,
No good without Him;
So loved and adored,
Stops me feeling grim.
The saints in the land,
Are excellent mates;
Delight where they stand,
Patiently awaits.
The sorrows of those,
Run to other gods;
Blood offering flows,
Drinking to the frauds.
The Lord holds my cup,
My chosen portion;
Nourished whence I sup,
Stops the distortion.
The lines have fallen,
In pleasant places;
Lifting my burden,
As He embraces.
He gives me counsel,
Instructing my heart;
Sin He does cancel,
Repent to impart.
I have set the Lord,
Always before me;
Be in one accord,
With insight to see.
For my heart is glad,
As I dwell secure;
Never feeling sad,
Rest in hope for more.
He leaves not my soul,
No more corruption;
His path to control,
No interruption.
