Dear Andy, When You Know

Mom, mom what's on your head?
Did someone hurt you
Did they hurt my best friend?

No, there's this rain cloud
That settled low in here
I'm trapped in here
Can't get out of here

Mom, mom you have to wake up
Why aren't you here,
Why you givin' up?

Cause different people
Holdin' different keys
Can't figure out
Which ones right for me
Can't figure out
Which door is free

Seems each one
comes with a cost
A little bit of gain
A *lot* of bit a loss

So I've settle here
under this rain
It's taken years and years
And overtaken my brain

This rain has turned
And then it seems to shine
Confusion, Deception
All tormenting my mind

Mom, mom you have to wake up
Why aren't you here,
Why you givin' up?

Daughter, sister come fill that cup
Wife, stranger, enough is enough

Hater, lover, cheater, friend
Can't seem to
Identify them

A coffee, a picture
A lyric, a song
A pastor, a preacher,
a drink so strong

Mom, mom you have to wake up
Why aren't you here,
Why you givin' up?

Because son,
Storms are brewing in here
I'm hiding, I'm running
I'm living in fear

There's this rain cloud
It settled low in here
I'm trapped in here
Not found in here

Mom, mom you have to wake up
Why aren't you here,
Why you givin' up?

Cause I can't seem to find
A teacher, a friend
Everyone betraying me
Again and again

But mom wake up,
quit looking for them
I'm your greatest love
I'm your best-est friend

Don't you see
this cool picture I drew
It's because all the love
I have for you

Mom wake up
You are enough
Love me forever
Just don't give up

Son I'm sorry
I've failed you too
See all these storms
They always brew
But imma find the strength
I need for you
I'll get up
I'll fight for you

I'm sorry I was asleep
for so so long
I'm a broken lyric
A broken song

You're apart of me
And you're apart of him
I'll knit us all
Together again

Mom, mom you've waken up
This seizure overtook you
Long enough

It's ok if you can't drive away
Today is the day
You begin to stay

I know your brain broke
a time or two
But your love is what
I've always knew

I'm your greatest love
Your best-est friend
It's time to wake up
It's time again

Son thank you
For calling 9-1-1
There was this creature
And he's had some fun

Stuck a bullet
It's still in my brain
For 7 years
I've been going insane

Son thank you
For saving my life
It happened once
Now it's happened twice
