Rejoice with Jerusalem,
Be glad for her and show love;
For the Lord will not condemn,
While reigning from above.
Nurse satisfied with her breast,
Drink deeply with such delight;
Consoling you as you rest,
Divine richness through the night.
The Lord will extend His peace,
Like an overflowing stream;
His glory on an increase,
Strengthen you to the extreme.
You shall nurse bounced on her knees,
As whom a mother comforts;
Her breath like a gentle breeze,
And healing you where it hurts.
So will the Lord comfort you,
Solace in Jerusalem;
Peace and concord pursue,
No longer to feel condemn.
Your heart shall rejoice and see,
Like grass your bones shall flourish;
The voice of God will decree,
Strengthens you as you nourish.
