Mission: Improbable

I build a ship with solar sails
and fire it into space,
to enter in and try to win
an interstellar race.
Equip it with the latest
Dollar-Store technology,
to custom fit the new cockpit
for cheap Cosmology.
The ship exploits a one-man crew
to operate controls;
he'll guide the ship to make the trip
while shooting through black holes.
I am the brave, wise leader
of the loyal one-man team,
who'll follow me and always be
as nutty as I seem!
The crew cries "Mutiny!", I jump ship,
and try to fly ashore.
When I awake with a bad headache,
I'm on the bedroom floor!
~William
