Boastful Blunders

Through observations, I have seen
that boasting never pays.
It backfires unexpectedly
and sends out karmic rays.

Life taught me never to assume,
it's better to aspire,
and look at things objectively,
or plans will go haywire,

Resulting in embarrassment,
humiliated pride,
the loss of credibility,
that leaves you mortified.

Don't be so sure you're never wrong
regarding anything;
you never know the detriment
a fallacy can bring.

And never boast of lofty things,
nobody wants to hear;
above all other end results,
all ears will disappear.
