The Dancing Lights
The far, northern night
is a dazzling sight
when its lights find momentum to play.
They'll shoot from horizon
to swirling horizon
in a spirited, flashy array.
In a dance, they will fly
all across the night sky
in their pulsating, bright wavy hues.
The solar-charged masses
mixed with the earth's gasses
yield shades of greens, violets, and blues.
Their colorful lights,
on those clear and cold nights,
render many a vibrant light show.
Sky watchers embrace
gazing up into space,
to behold Borealis aglow.
