NEARLY INVINCIBLE
My robust, stalwart, buoyant wife
has felt her share of pains:
gall bladder, tumors, abscessed teeth,
and clotted soleus veins,
She's missing other untold parts,
and suffers joint attacks,
with dreadly pains from sudden moves
but she keeps fighting back!
Her head's a barometric gauge
that signals coming rain.
This throbbing, early-storm alarm
acts like a weather vane!
A walking list of aches and pains
and missing body parts,
she shines it on and walks it off
whenever something starts!
But after beating all the odds,
she found her cryptonite;
one foe she hasn't conquered yet?
a measly insect bite!
