Now, this I say and testify,
Testify upon the Lord;
That you must start to deny,
Gentile ways be ignored.
The vanity of their mind,
Darkened in understanding;
Iniquity of every kind,
Brazen in their demanding.
Alienated from God,
Having hardness of the heart;
Ignorance making them flawed,
Carnal knowledge to impart.
They have been callous feeling,
Fleshly lasciviousness;
Sexually appealing,
Immorally sensuous.
To practice impurity,
Not the way you learned from Christ;
Only immorality,
Will be getting you enticed.
Assuming that you have heard,
And being taught in the truth;
About Jesus is the Word,
As told to you in your youth.
Put it off of your old self,
Your former manner of life;
Bury it on the back shelf,
Which will rid toils and strife.
The deceitful desires,
That had corrupted your thought;
Rid the lust that acquires,
Spiritual truth to be sought.
Live the life of a new man,
As created after God;
True righteousness of His plan,
True holiness you shall laud.
