I TRUST YOU..
~I TRUST YOU~
A poem based on a real experience in my life.
My friend has passed away in his 90s before
reaching 100. His name was Mr C.S.Patel.
He never said once that
"I trust you" and still
he gave me his hard-earned
Sixteen thousand pounds.
He wanted me to invest
the money in shares.
No papers were signed.
He had that trust in me.
I bought shares for him.
They increased in value
but one day they fell.
It was the Black Monday.
I sold the shares very fast
but still, the gain was gone
and a loss of four thousand
reduced it to twelve thousand.
I offered to pay for the loss
but he refused to take it.
He took the loss and asked me
not to worry about the loss.
When someone says to you
"I trust you", what they mean is
they would like to trust you
but have a small doubt in you.
Those who trust never say
"I trust you" they just trust
like my friend trusted me
and never said, "I trust you".
