Sargassum seaweed
Many countries in the Caribbean had to take heed
As many of their beaches were overwhelmed with Sargassum seaweed
Those lovely beaches on which all types of people gather
They had to stand at a distance and watched the water
Those waves breaking and rushing to the shore meaking a sound
Also to they were bringing along a heavy mass of brown
Many of the fishermen looked on an began to wonder
About the task they have to clear such from the propeller
Some fear too as they see the spread in the water
Thinking too that there may be some danger from a predator
And also too there was a shudder as they think it may bring
Those Men of War, and they know the effects of those stings
As time progressed those around sensed a particular scent
And no matter what it was always present
After lots of thought the all agreed
This have to be a product of the decaying seaweed
Then one day a man spread some on his ploughed ground
The a few days later he was amazed at what he found
Because lying beneath were dead slugs and snails
Those crop pests at last lives have been curtailed
So another guy later came up with this plan
And he shared the idea with all in that land
He let the weed dried for a few days or more
Then he converted it to a powdered form as a manure
So one day this weed was considered to be an eyesore
Can be can now be considered a blessing that came to the shore
Because those various salts may produce verdant fields
Hopefully this may improve those crop yields.
