Poetic Verses
Prepare them
There is no doubt at being at home is like a sanctuary
Enjoying the laughter and banter associated with family
What a moment of so joyful and indeed comfortable
The something happens that spells a bit of trouble
It may not be in anyway any form of tragedy
But it could be a situation of an injury
And this my cause a person to come to regret
That by depending on that person, some skills they neglect
All the time it was assumed that it was the duty of that person
To take of the needs no matter the occasion
Even though they were aging you fail to see
That it was time to shoulder some responsibility
Now that twist of fate brought on the realisation
That it was wrong believing they were giving you protection
Not thinking that the come will come, when you have to leave the fold
And for that some things you should learn to control
Some people tend to make such a big mistake
And believe that their offspring so not partake
In any matters of the home not even a chore
And when put to the test the actions show
I can remember guys going offshore to university
And parents will make some visits quite regularly
Then on returning complain about the children
But was not the monster that they were creating
