As I urge you when I go,
Remain so that you may blame;
People teaching that you know,
False doctrine what they proclaim.
They devote in telling tales,
To promote speculation;
Any heavenly faith fails,
Of a false revelation.
We aim our charge to love,
That issues a pure heart;
A sincere faith from above,
A good conscience to impart.
Certain people swerve from these,
Have wandered away in vain;
As their mind drifts in the breeze,
Then washed away in the rain.
So be teachers of the Law,
Having the understanding;
Deviation makes a flaw,
From what it is demanding.
Now we know the Law is good,
If a man uses lawfully;
You are doing as you should,
Done for God dutifully.
It is laid not for the just,
But lawless disobedience;
For those with a godly trust,
Honoring His radiance.
The unholy and profane,
The ungodly and sinners;
Deceptive practice is vain,
Will see the discipliners.
