I give thanks unto the Lord, I sing praise with my whole heart; Being so loved and adored, Your precepts I do impart. I bow down upon my knees, Steadfast love, I do proclaim; Comforting feeling at ease, For faithfulness is Your name. I exalt You above all, Of Your Word above all things; You answer me when I call, A strengthened soul that it brings. All of the kings of the earth, The Word from You they have heard; Knowing of their priceless worth, And that You are King and Lord. Of great glory, they shall sing, In the ways of You O Lord; For You are the Lord and King, And will be loved and adored. Even though the Lord is high, You will respect the fawner; But You hear the haughty cry, Ignored for their dishonor. Though I walk into trouble, You revive and save my life; Pulling out of the rubble, Amongst the toils and strife. You stretch out against the wrath, Delivering from my foes; And blocking it from my path, Guiding me where the light glows. You endure forever, Forsaking not with Your hands; Steadfast love will not sever, What Your faithfulness demands. Copyright ©2022 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
