Voting
How does the electorate elect their candidate
Is it the charisma of the leader that does dictate
Can it be found in the degree of the candidate's popularity
Or is it something that is there in the ideology
The thing is how to stimulate those voter's interest
By making promises that later they me be remiss
They tend to have a regular presence in the constituency
And like good actor, pretend to know almost everybody
The people always forget the number of of times they got hoodwink
Even those they notice the deception, yet still drink
The will see after the election, how easily they are forgotten
It was fait accompli, you have made your decision
Perhaps it time the electorate respond in this manner
Thus subjecting those hopefuls to a session of questions and answers
Instead of going down that tried, tired party line
And select the one who has their interests on his mind
It is time we recognised the dangers of tribal voting
Because some of those candidates can be severely lacking
Many skills, and in some cases falls short intellectually
And therefore can be manipulated quite easily
At the moment we can see something that is no humor
And it is not getting pleasant each passing hour
This is proving to spell disaster for the future
Let us pray that someone can prevent this terror
