That Friend
How many times we have heard people sold their souls
To be in the possession of a few carats of gold
But there is nothing that shall ever compare
With the support of a friend, who is sincere
In certain circumstances there are those who rather
Have their hands on ornaments made of silver
But there shall ever come by near in measure
To that valuable resource of a friend, such a treasure
We can see how there is in some eyes that twinkle
When given a cut of diamond, what a sparkle
But even gathering up all the precious gems
Are worthless to what the support of a friend
Who can you call whenever you are down
And in those time when everything is going wrong
Sticking by you no matter how hard the fight
That friend is who would be there to help you see the light
When that time come to make a decision
This being on the mind, becomes a problem
Who would be there not critical, but cast that different opinion
And together found that workable solution
Those moments they can show that true value
Because there there no matter what you are going through
The one to whom you can entrust your secret
And in time shall never have reasons to regret it.
