I have picked up pieces and
joined them as best as I could,
some missing pieces
have left a few holes
in my heart.
I have patched up holes
with sighs and tears.
I have painted my heart
with a good foundation
of forgive and forget
and start again.
I have put makeup
of smiles and laughter
all over my heart
to perfection.
It looked picture perfect
but now my heart is
leaking from the cracks
and the holes.
It has blood patches
all over my heart.
How can I hide
the blood patches
of my bleeding heart?
