Praise the Lord, O my soul,
Laud as long as I live;
Sing praises to extol,
My faith became captive.
Put no trust in swayers,
In whom no salvation;
For they are persuaders,
Attempting temptation.
For when his breath departs,
He returns to the earth;
As body decay starts,
His plans will have no worth.
Bless those whose help is God,
Whose hope is in the Lord;
Giving honor and laud,
And lives in one accord.
God made Heaven and earth,
The sea and all creatures;
Made fertile to give birth,
And formed all land features.
God executes justice,
Gives food to the oppressed;
Favors those who practice,
Righteously in their quest.
God sets prisoners free,
Opens eyes of the blind;
Who honors His decree,
With Him being aligned.
The Lord watches strangers,
He upholds the widow;
Shields orphans from dangers,
Blesses those who follow.
The Lord destroys evil,
Ruin their wicked ways;
Stop works of the devil,
Controlling one who strays.
The Lord reigns forever,
To all generations;
His reign will not sever,
Through their aspirations.
