Silent Movie Night

Tonight is "Silent Movie Night",
where everything is black and white.

We'll flashback to those quiet greats
through the venues of our youthful dates,

where vintage times and classic places
filled the screens with famous faces.

It was a favorite place and time
to spend all day for just a dime!

We'd follow serials each week,
with "sneak previews", to get a peek.

All movie scenes were purely "sight",
with captioning and no "sound byte".

The theater houses of the age
used organ players, by the stage,

setting pace and mood with music themes,
enhancing more dramatic scenes.

Big screens and stars were splendid fusions
filling us with grand illusions.

Old films and stars remain immortal
through the silent movie portal.
