Smoking
It was years ago when the movies had this depiction
How the star seems to control every situation
And too was the one who go all the Ladies attention
Also was the one who beat the other guy into submission
But at the end one should never forget
Often in James Bond there was the lighting of a cigarette
Hence this touted theatrical illusion by association
In those day seems to spread across many nations
This perhaps was a promotion for that need to smoke
Young, old, this desire in them get awoke
And too some guys came to the conclusion this was a sign
That it was how they mature, what a wonderful time
Around then one could see a variety of brands
Ones age group was measured by one in the fingers on the hand
Later on as times passed on the trend expand
There was now an increase in smoking by women
Those evenings, on a bus, train or flying by aeroplane
The seats at the rear was sure to contain
Those group of people and you can bet your last dollar
As many among them would be smokers
Many times on going to restaurants to eat
On occasions there was a smoked filled air to greet
Some people get some discomfort and take their leave
Those watery eyes, heavy breathing and uncontrollable sneeze
The some groups decided it is time for action
Analysing tobacco, down to it's various chemical fractions
And some constituents had the ability to cause health problems
Because they were listed as being potential carcinogens
Now today we can walk around feeling so please
Now we can enjoy the surrounding and travel in ease
Because smoking is not allowed in public places
No nicotine there, so the air will not get contaminated
