Most certainly when one was required to fill a position
Apart from being armed with the relevant qualifications
One had to endure that there was a flawless reputation
As there was that ethical stress in the occupation
There the person was open to and herd some advice
So that the position would be not be in anyway get compromised
Hence it was very important to be be truthful and come clean
Because this in later years could create an embarrassing scene
How many time we have heard of persons in a high position
Hand in their resignation due to a moment of indiscretion
And even though being cleared by an investigation
Cannot iron the damage it may have done to that reputation
Who would believe we are now seeing a 360 degree turn
Believing in the prior system can cause one to get to spurn
And if one does not want to lie, whine, deflect and cheat
You are consider to be soft, a pushover and yes weak,also easy meat
This sort of behavious has grown in such a great proportion
How deeply its tentacles has been embedded in a leading nation
So even though there are the fact be displayed so plainly
They are still throwing that support to that someone so easily
Now having them wrapped so tightly around the thumb
Seeing their gullibility concluded that they are dumb
And seeing too how eager, that they are willing to part so easily
With their money, whilst being steadfast with that loyalty
But to those who are the neutral and informed observer
Sit and wonder, does that person has magical or mystic power
That even professional with degrees from such reputed universities
Would become like faithful pets, just willing to lick those heels
Then too some of those ministers if religion
Seem now to make that provision in their sermons
And they too now wearing such a mask of deception
Have been able to exert such influence over their congregation
This behavioural pattern in now spreading at a rapid pace
And the perpetrator felt not remorse or any type of disgrace
Using lying, whining, false equivalence even shift the narrative
This can be only achieved, in an atmosphere that is receptive
