Poetic Verses
That Treatment
If there is the projection of a seemingly prosperous country
That will appear to be hope and prosperity for anybody
And so the attraction would be stronger than any magnet
So all types of persons its shores will always attack
Because of such many will take every chance
In in the belief that such may improve their circumstance
O too to that country will in hope make that run
Believing it will be sympathetic and get some form of asylum
But on getting there that they though of so dear
Were greeted by a climate and such hate resulting in despair
I am sure this brought the adage of time so aged old
That all that appears to be glittering is not gold
But to add insult to their predicament is the words of some politicians
Who try to blame them for the evils that are in the nation
Just kept repeating that for such they are the one responsible
Playing on the supporters feelings, especially the ones who are gullible
But it pains to see the exhaustion of their span of memory
Or have they blotted out some aspects of their history
That many of their fore parents had to make a similar journey
Having to hastily flee their country, and here is where they found that sanctuary
So now their descendants freer now can harbour such hate
On people with whom they historically share a similar fate
Some may believe there would be a much different reception
If those who made the trip had a very much lighter complexion
