Move On

Love can be bitter when not returned.
Self rejection seems to be what follows
in turn. In time we pick ourselves
back up, brush off the dirt. wipe
away the tears and decide to move on.

Leaves a person to question whats up
with love, the kind of thing so many
speak of, yet more often over time the
word doesn't match their deeds, at
least the way I perceived love to be.

Wish I knew then what I know now, it
begins and ends with self acceptance.
Offering freedom from all our pretenses
I'm not seeking for perfection, as if? haha
No, but to embody inner peace I am.
