Poetic Verses
This Election
Two years have now passed and that moment is approaching
When there is another election, candidates are now canvassing
Some vying for as seat in the house others the senate
There will be in some cases no swaying, not even after hearing a debate
A system highly slanted in a direction of tribal voting
Some so rigid and grounded nothing shall convince them
Even though the candidate may show a lacking in basic skills
That has no bearing on their voting manners or will
Look at a particular candidate style and behaviour
Proven to be lying and overall performance graded as a disaster
But to the supporters still remain firmly behind
So fixed that nothing in this world can change their mind
It is quite noticeable that one of bones of contention
Seems to be on rising oil prices and increasing inflation
But do they not expect things to rise over the progress of time
Were they not alive to see and assess in their minds
Some may say that this is a very crucial and important election
Because there are frightening signals appearing on the horizon
And now structure is on that shall not be pretty
As this projects that there shall be a shift from being a democracy
And now all the world is watching and some very amusingly
Observing that metastatic spreading of stupidity
As people touted to be educated with all levels of degrees
Allowed themselved to be swayed be someone so easily
