Halloween
The month of October, this season I will remember
There was an experience, this one the first time ever
Heard about it for years but had never seen
What really occurs on the actual night of Halloween
During the month movies shown on cable television
Were mean to bring out that fear in some proportions
Ones like Chucky, Halloween movie series and even Leprechauns
As the try to plant fear in the minds, fitting for the occasion
The shop and stores were all in the trend
As people on costumes and ornaments did spend
And in the supermarkets the many sized pumpkins were there
Being bought to cut and carve as the buyer though fair
Not knowing I venture out on the official night
I Noticed some dark shadows looking strange in the dim light
What a scary collection some vampires, even Michael, such a hideous sight
Pretending to be brave but my knee wobbled with fright
But as I got closer they moved trying to circle around me
Al the while I try to locate any opening they may be
Howling and snarling as their hand reached out for grabbing
Through the space I took off running, and they were laughing
Back home a bit shaken, on listening to the talk on the radio
The announcer said the Halloween was going well and there was fun for so
Then as I calm down it dawn on that to he people in the attire
Were dressed to depict a scary character they admire
Quickly my thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door
A child say trick or treat waved a bag to and fro
Not knowing what to do, I put in my hand and took some of his sweets
He looked and me angrily and ran back to his friends in the street
There was an experience, this one the first time ever
