So we do not lose heart,
For which cause not to faint;
We look for a new start,
Without any restraint.
We are wasting away,
The outward man perish;
We renew day by day,
For the soul we cherish.
Our light affliction,
Of an eternal weight;
Exceeds expectation,
Glory to compensate.
We look not at the things,
In which that we have seen;
From which temptation brings,
Temporal that have been.
Things seen as transient,
Unseen is eternal;
Glory is radiant,
Cancels the nocturnal.
