I entreat you to agree, In the same mind as the Lord; Abide what He does decree, Remaining in one accord. Be companions to others, That have labored side by side; Treat as sisters and brothers, Let the Gospel by your guide. You are in the Book of Life, Always rejoice in the Lord; Laugh at the toils and strife, That your burdens are ignored. Let moderation be known, Because the Lord is at hand; And you are never alone, Of what this life would demand. Be not anxious for nothing, Through prayer and supplication; Remember with thanksgiving, In your communication. Because the peace of our God, Passes all understanding; Guarding your hearts as you laud, That your mind is expanding. Whatever is trustworthy, True and honorable; And that is pure and lovely, Considered commendable. Anything worthy of praise, You must think about these things; Of the excellence always, And the virtue that it brings. What you have learned and received, Do what you have heard and seen; Faith is what you have believed, The God of peace that has been. Copyright ©2022 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
