Ascribe unto the Lord, O heavenly beings; And be in one accord, Strengthening all blessings. Give glory to the Lord, Worshipping of splendor; He is loved and adored, Blessings warm and tender. Splendor of holiness, The beauty of His voice; Thundering loveliness, So awesome to rejoice. Powerful majesty, Upon many waters; For humbled modesty, Of your sons and daughters. For His voice breaks the trees, Leaps like a wild ox; Fire enflamed by His breeze, And scampers like a fox. His voice shakes the forest, Shaking the wilderness; A voice as the purest, Sound that your ears to bless. He makes the deer give birth, And strips the forest bare; Glory sounds round the earth, As believers will share. The Lord sits on the flood, Crowned as King forever; Cleansing sin from His blood, Bonding will not sever. May the Lord give His strength, Bless His people with peace; Persevere at any length, Living that will not cease. Copyright ©2022 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
