In this climate of increasing cost of living
Many of those scammers thought that this was perfect timing
To seize this moment of of the peoples vulnerability
As this could benefit them and indeed very financially
This regular increase of those banks interest rates
Have put mortgages in such a bad light this very date
And also what they are paying as interest on the savings
May have made do such something not too entertaining
Another thing is those many other bank charges
That at each stage of a transaction always appears
And each time get told when you go over the counter
Is told that using the ATM is a bit cheaper.
Interest paid to yearly to these charges a lots lesser
Some people to this may have a workable solution
By depositing their savings as shares in a credit union
They seem to pay out on these shares so much more
That so many persons seem to be flocking to their doors
But the fraudsters seeing this and thought that it was quite timely
To make good on this climate of such uncertainty
And quite readily pounce with glee on the moment
To sell them this certain path to the perfect investment
The bait is to set to them a form of minimum deposit
Then they are shown a return that look so fantastic
Purse opened so hooked and willing to pour in more
Then the deception shows and so the tears involuntarily flow
Heart broken now on being told of this market crash
Resulting in their losing a great portion of their cash
And that if lucky shall recover a small percentage
Now at this stage of their lives, not too comforting a message
