Owe no one anything, But to love each other; For love, others will bring, The warmth for your brother. You shall not steal nor kill, Nor be adulterous; Nor covet to instill, Nor obstructing justice. Show love to your neighbor, For love will do no wrong; Helping them in their labor, Keeps a relation strong. Love will fulfill the Law, Besides, you know the time; For after sleep you saw, You did not any crime. Salvation is nearer, Than you ever believed; When you are sincerer, Able to be received. For the night is far gone, Bring the armor of light; As a new day does dawn, For doing what is right. Walk in the light of day, Not in riot nor orgy; Trust in God and obey, Walking in His glory. Not in envy nor strife, For Jesus Christ is Lord; And in the righteous life, Being in one accord. Copyright ©2022 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
