In a lowly barn Jesus chose
to take on human form
with great pain and a labor of love
in a manger He by Mary was born.

With angels singing and shepards
they started the great commission that night
as they said to each other let's go and
see this place where the star is so bright.

The wood of the manger would be a symbol
of the cross El Shaddai would bare
as He laid there so peacefully
it would prove how much He cared.

To give up His Throne in Heaven
and come and take our place
the meekest of it all showed everyone
was to have this gift of His Grace.
