Teddy Bears and Yellow Tape

Stake out cops spying.
Perpetrators and snitches lying
and signifying. Shell casings
and yellow crime scene tape

The screeching sound of
sirens. Lights flashing red and
blue in the night. Guns
shots, stabbings and fights

A teen house party
gone wrong and someone gets
raped. Ghetto life can be
hard to escape

Victim's body toe tagged,
bagged and draped. Teddy bears, portraits and candles placed on
urban street corners

Parents crying because their
child is a goner. Just like last year...
fear and a fresh Homocide is
ringing in the new year
