Our faith is of the same spirit, As per to what has been written; I believe what I inherit, Spoken by some as forbidden. Knowing that who has raised the Lord, Will also raise us from the grave; In His presence in one accord, No longer to sin as a slave. Because it is all for your sake, That He extends His grace to you; Upon your death, you will awake, Increased thanksgiving and construe. So we do not need to lose heart, Though the outer shell wastes away; The inner self gets a new start, Unto God will honor and obey. This momentary affliction, Prepares for eternal glory; Beyond any comparison, Making it revelatory. As we look at things that are seen, Things that we see are temporal; No longer of things that have been, But the things which are eternal. Copyright ©2022 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
