Mysteries of old remain unresolved while
as guardian, elder abuse took hold.
His old home where he lived most of his life went
under hammers with terrible leverage.

In the twitch of an eye a whole life skinned
possessions fleeced off in such a raw way.
Go in help yourself rellies complicit
in kind, an auction sold off what remained.

The guardian served full control with a
homeless uncle and a unit to sell.
Revolving doors finds him living next door
no more property would he ever own.

A living inheritance some may say
lit the dual fuse for what was to follow.
Dependent now the narc knows his stuff, the
family caught out, a legacy troubled.

One hold out remained in her uncle's care
now attacked with pitiless bullied tones.
His niece a trustee, the last one standing
copped such a coward's abuse on the phone.

Rhetoric verballed swirled through senses by a
misogynist pig some sensates might say.
BPD erupts in scared young men
thoughts whispered in ears deliver their prey.

Two down one to go those insipid masks
pulled out all stops plus some found in between.
She resigned by pen, the next day withdrawn
the uncle's voice cried ... don't leave me alone.

Too late his fate, shuttered gates brought down with
hammer like blows evil deeds surely blend.
On the same day no less picked off the shelf
a new will with legals, all priors to end.

The unit passed up as dollars flood by
in the duplex by sunny coast waters.
Six months he would stay in nappies mode then
choofed off to an aged home made to order.

The estate coughed up for visits of sorts
a vehicle bought plus expenses won.
The gravey train special rellies beware
no free tickets, rules apply at the door.

The uncle boarded safe out of range a
living inheritance now hits the road.
A house bought set for a downstairs reno
while the duplex lived on in rental mode.

A generous uncle to upgrade the
place, $100,000 per say.
To come back home to his loving family
such a shame as dementia blocked his way.

Such matters take time when things are schemed
that famous place wasn't built in a day.
His sparkle dissolved by dementia's grind
on it's slow struggle to his last hooray.

His death in three years gathered family, with
ashes interred on a bush range in cairns.
A legacy usurped behind closed doors
to leave within minds a permanent stain.

His remains had been placed on a speaker
box in a bedroom up there where in cairns.
Thempla wait the marist brother retired
to blend earth with ashes for this old man.

Nothing said to the rest of the family
as he paid a visit one sunday morn.
A sign you would think of thanks and respect
a psychic real sense said something was wrong.

A silence descended in make over
mode where renos' were more than just fences.
A conflict of interest some would wonder
trust queries ignored, shout outs commence.

Legal letters in turn had no success
no business of yours was heard to imply.
Drunken threats would soon highlight this timeline
in a sad sorry state of said goodbyes.

A supreme court ruling buried some dust
three trustees usurped on broken terrain.
Orders sought granted off the legal shelf
push pull projections of all sorts remained.
