MY DREAM OF YOU

MY DREAM OF YOU

Awakening in the arms of a shadow-clothed day
The confusion spills forth from last night's dream
Wearing ribbons of white, she knelt by a stream
Her green eyes sparkling inside my own flecks of grey

******
She had gently wound herself around my spool of sleep
This angelic being with tresses as bright as yellow gold
She began to wrap me silently in yesteryears of old
As we knelt to pray "I pray the Lord my soul to keep"

******
She was draped in an image made of beauty and love
I whispered "I love you with every bit of me, and even more"
Please don't go just yet; please don't close the cloud-door
But she smiled as she faded into a white-realm above

******
A sleep-scape of night, skies of blue, and touching you
It was heavenly to see you Mama; I miss you so much
There's no time limit on memories, dreams and such
Nor God's gentle visits..... tied with a dream or two

Words can't convey this loss in my life

I've had a bit of a hard time with the holidays and losing my mother. God always knows
what we need and when we need it. I had this dream and am thankful that he gave it to me
at the right time.....
