6 Ramadan 1444
Anxiously anticipating the first glimpse of the Hilal. With an enthusiasm reminiscent of reuniting with an old pal. Ramadan's first ten days of Mercy we hold so dear.
Welcoming in the ninth and most blessed month of the Hijri year. Going without food or drink during the day. For the mercy, forgiveness and blessings of Allah we pray.
Performing salaat in jamaat in the Masjid for tawarrih. Reciting a Juz Kitabullah. From weakness to strength we thank Allah for allowing us to come this far.
Forgiveness abounds as the second ten days come around. Thankful to be living we increase our giving. All aboard in faith hoping to receive forgiveness manifold.
Reverently through ibadaat we fortify our souls. A solid blessed month of trial and test. We emerge from Ramadan renewed, fortified and refreshed.
