Our Saviour - so gentle 
Yet so strong - rode into Jerusalem 
On a donkey's colt - amidst a joyful throng 
And -  like a carpet laid before celebrities - the 
Famous -  great and good  -  they threw
Their coats - and palms - along the
Way - with cheers and loud
Hosannas - to honour 
Him - that day.


But - this was no 
Ordinary man - of high esteem 
Or gallant fame - who humbly let himself
Be led on that extraordinary day -  by those
Who  thought that He had come to
Overthrow - and then to reign
As a mighty Ruler - over
Their domain.


But - no-one knew that 
God had wrought a different plan
To lead us on a narrow - untrod way - as
Yet unknown to man - to offer us salvation and
Forgiveness - at the cross at Calvary - to
Break the grip of earthly bonds - and
Set us free - from - the fear of 
Death and sin - 


And - open up the gates of Heaven - and
 
Then - to offer us Eternal Life - with Him -

Yes - with Everlasting Life and Love -

With our Redeemer - Saviour 

Father God  -  and our

Almighty KING of

Kings .
