The year was 1968. After four
months training in the jungles
of Oahu I felt really great

As an eighteen year old sergeant.
I was itching and couldn't wait.
I'm not going lie. On two
occasions I cried

For me ombat was exhilarating. Especially when I'd be on the verge of certain death. And scared almost to death

Then miraculously survive. It
was like starring in a high pace action movie where only the
other guys die

With ten months in I had lost
many a friend. It was no longer exciting. The bloodshed, death
and fighting

Back then in my youth. I learned to manage fear. However as I sit here writing. Remembering much. I can still feel that RUSH!
