 ramblings and things

Beauty is transient,
Almost as transient as youth.
A whole industry has grown
To help some evade that truth.
With scalpels and chemicals
They sculpt and refine
And turn out a mass of close
From their sad productiuon line.

Miss Any Girl from Anywhere
Falling for the seduction
Of a life of celebrity thanks to
Mass cosmetic production.
Once a rustic beauty,
All trace of that now gone
In the cause of ambition as
Her career progressed on.

Miss Bodily enhanced
Slowly entered the place
Mask of skilful make up
Accentuating her face,
Enhanced dark lashes
Over almond shaped eyes
Artfully made up
To accentuate their size.

Slightly wooden face from
Lots of surgical intervention,
Plump pouting lips from
Botox or such injection.
Silicone implanted breasts
Surgically uplifted rear
Tummy nipped and tucked
Skin tanned, complexion clear.

A superb creation by
The Cosmetic Surgeon art
Whose handiwork showed
In every possible body part.
An expensively packaged
Cameo of beauty and style
Showing to the world her
Carefully created smile.

This classically sculptured,
Almost synthetic, whole
Giving the impression of
A body without a soul.
Too many hours later
The function complete
She sighed with relief as
She rubbed her aching feet.
