Destined

Does any society have immunity from the reality of it's ultimate destiny? All created entities must die. Life is not a smooth uneventful ride. Can anyone slow down the pace of ecological suicide? Can there be any survival upon dooms day arrival? None can remain alive when all are destined to die?
