The Lord works righteous justice,
For all who have been oppressed;
When everything seems hopeless,
And they have prayed and confessed.
For God has made know His ways,
And His acts to His people;
Each one of us must always,
Go worship in the temple.
God is merciful and gracious,
Abounding in steadfast love;
Because the Lord is righteous,
Anger slow to things thereof.
Not always will the Lord chide,
Nor keep anger forever;
He looks for you to provide,
You confess the endeavor.
God deals not with our sins,
Nor repay for transgressions;
Rather than He disciplines,
According to confessions.
For as higher than Heaven,
In being above the earth;
Great is the love be given,
In revering priceless worth.
As far as East is from West,
He removes the transgression;
Iniquities under arrest,
Through a sincere confession.
Fathers pity a child,
The Lord will pity as well;
Feels for who is defiled,
Showing fear to where they dwell.
For He has known our frame,
And that we are merely dust;
Whom to glorify His name,
He will help control the lust.
