Let your love be genuine, Holding fast to what is good; Abhor to the evil sin, Doing the way that Christ would. Show brotherly affection, In loving one another; With an honored connection, For your sister and brother. Be fervent in the spirit, Not to be slothful in zeal; Diligent in your merit, Serving the Lord to appeal. Patience in tribulation, And be constantly in prayer; Remember your salvation, Rejoice with the hope you share. Contribute unto the saints, Showing hospitality; Blessing them without restraints, Avert from carnality. Bless those who persecute you, Blessings and do not curse them; Unto your faith, remain true, Letting the Father condemn. Rejoice with those who rejoice, Weep with those who would weep; Listen up to hear His voice, The Shepherd calling His sheep. Show no pride to the humble, Rather live in harmony; Never of others grumble, Accordance in symphony. Pay no evil for evil, Rather honor in the sight; Avoid works of the devil, It may keep you from the light. Live at peace with everyone, But it all depends on you; Remembering of the Son, The direction you pursue. Copyright ©2023 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
