Passing on to the next generation
has been a continuous process
among almost all living creatures.
We pass on to the next generation
so many things in so many ways
with our cleverness and skills.
Apart from the word of mouth,
we store what we want to pass on
in visual form since the stone age.
Languages and skill of writing
helped us to write on anything
that was available at that time.
Stone, leaves, leather, cloth and
paper are some of the means to
store written words and pass on.
We pass on our thoughts about
physical as well as abstract things
and reinforce them in many ways.
We all are programmed by the
material passed on to us and
reinforced by the society we live in.
This programming is powerful
and perfect that we are hardly
capable of any free-thinking.
Free thinking is punished by
society in so many ways and
Salman Rushdie is an example.
I love to think freely but my
upbringing as a human being has
brainwashed me from day one.
I am unable to think freely.
CAN YOU THINK FREELY?

NOTE:
The Satanic Verses is Salman Rushdie's fourth novel, first published in 1988. Iran put a FATAWA or contract to kill on him because the content upset them. British Government protected him. (Lucky him!!)
