Vases
Empty vases line the empty halls
that lead to the empty rooms where we shared nothing but empty promises.
No flower petals fill our bed
Only Words fill the pages of chapters where we dared
To create something more
than
Demure meanings
Callous intentions
Every action so ripe with preservation,
Yet piercing me as though
You feel nothing at all.
Can you suppress these feelings
When I have done away with you?
Because time has shown that you are needy
And I am still in my youth.
Empty vases still waiting for
The endless flowers you promised me
My tears can fill them all,
While waiting for your company.
that lead to the empty rooms where we shared nothing but empty promises.
No flower petals fill our bed
Only Words fill the pages of chapters where we dared
To create something more
than
Demure meanings
Callous intentions
Every action so ripe with preservation,
Yet piercing me as though
You feel nothing at all.
Can you suppress these feelings
When I have done away with you?
Because time has shown that you are needy
And I am still in my youth.
Empty vases still waiting for
The endless flowers you promised me
My tears can fill them all,
While waiting for your company.
